The external logistic responsible guarantees the provisioning of the components for the production. He will be the contact with the suppliers. He will have to plan stock level in close teamwork with production team. His main responsibilities will be:
Logistics activity :
- Participate to the production strategy with the internal logistic employees and send the components order to the suppliers
- Schedule and prepare the components delivery.
- Receive, control and store the components delivered from the supplier.
- Manage the component the stock in accordance with the production strategy and with the production needs.
- Participate to the warehouse organization to optimise the layout and assure the FIFO.
Continuous improvement :
- He propose improvements to solve the anomalies detected on the supply chain.
- He makes suggestions, takes part in working groups in order to improve the standards, the tools, the methods used and the warehouse organization.
Management and communication :
- He is daily in relation with the internal services (internal production planning) to know the needs for IRO and to inform them about the delivery problems. He also communicates with the external suppliers on the progress report of the files.
- Participate to warehouse teamwork and participate to the warehouse layout optimization.
- Assure support for training of the newcomers
2-3 years experience in a logistics job in the Logistics department, or an equivanlent experience in automotive industry, mass production or logistics sector
Knowledge in stock management, supply chain, transport management
Knowledge of FIFO and Logistics tools
University Degree
Good communication skills in English, French is a plus
Good interpersonal skills, teamwork orientated
Structured in a sense of figures
Good resistance under stress and time pressure
Punctual, able to respect deadlines, rigourous, honest
Ms Office,
