Provides administrative and secretarial support to faculty and administrative staff, including special projects, office work flow, appointments, correspondence, manuscripts, data compiliation and records control. May perform duties of a sensitive and confidential nature.
The Manager Assistant is responsibile for:
- Coordinates special projects and events, office activities and committee meetings.
- Maintains calendar, schedules appointments and meeting rooms.
- Makes travel and accommodation arrangements.
- Uses personal computer to prepare manuscripts, statistical reports, tables, and charts using knowledge of scientific, literary, or other electronic technical terms.
- Locates and compiles information and formats reports, graphs, tables, records and other sources of information.
- Uses various software applications, such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports.
- Maintains records through filing, retrieval, retention, storage, compilation, coding, updating and destruction.
- Types routine correspondence and reports from dictation or handwritten copy using personal computer.
- Picks up and delivers materials as required.
- Answers telephone, screens callers, relays messages, and greets visitors.
- University degree;
- Three years administrative/office experience required
- Communication skills using the spoken word;
- Experience working with various software applications required;
- Very good speaking and writing English language.
