Our client is a leading global producer of lime, with more than 140 years of experience in the extraction and processing of high calcium limestone and dolomitic stone into lime and lime-related products for industrial and commercial customers. Together we are looking fora Logistics Coordinator in Brasov.
Responsibilities:
Taking part at the construction of the Logistics Department;
Proposing measures for optimizing the logistics activity;
Centralizing all the logistics activities within one single department;
Taking part in creating and implementing logistics procedures;
Supporting the sales force in dealing with key prospects;
Proposing efficient transport of the company's products to its clients;
Performing regular analyses of the transportation market ( roads, railways);
Creating and regularly updating a database of transportation companies;
Negotiating and contracting the key transporters together with the Logistics Manager;
Preparing reports and statistics regarding the logistics costs;
Applying the costs control system and reporting;
Solving the specific transport and logistics problems;
Keeping the contact with the customs and customs brokers;
Negotiating the customs commissions;
Staying in touch with the legislation on all transports and actively lobbying in this field.
Engineering or Marketing Degree;
Minimum 3 years in logistics field in a similar positions;
Very good technical knowledge about logistics and transports;
Very good persuasion skills and communication skills;
Flexible, pro-active and results oriented;
Analytical skills and problem solving attitude;
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
