Perform Structural/mechanical (finite element) modeling (FEA) analysis, possibly combined with Thermal FEA analysis, including problem formulation and results presentations.
Prepare and present proposals to technical leaders and project management to further the usefulness and acceptability of FEA throughout the company.
Will work predominantly independently, with minimal supervision, to execute the FEA tasks necessary to complete the work assignments.
This position will support multiple projects.
Technical Studies
Experience in using commercial FEA software (e.g., MSC PATRAN / NASTRAN): Advanced ¿ over 3 years of current usage;
Strong background in mechanical engineering: Advanced;
Knowledge of structural dynamics: Advanced
Familiarity with programming in Fortran, C++, and/or Matlab: Intermediate
Familiarity with UNIX, Linux and Windows: Intermediate
Verbal/written communication skills: Advanced
English verbal/written skills: Advanced
Familiarity with Computer aided design (CAD) software: Intermediate
