Our client is an international company with 80 years of experience in manufacturing electrical enclosures and components for industrial, electrical and data & telecommunication markets. They are currently in the process of starting up a factory in Romania (Brasov region). The production process will mainly be of traditional sheet metal working machines (punching, presses, welding, painting, etc). Starting from a headcount of zero, within two years they expect the personnel to be approaching 200.
Together we are looking for a Design & CAD Manager.
Being responsible for the coordination of the CAD and Design department;
Ensuring that all drawings, designs and information related to the production of products are created and maintained in accordance to the established procedures;
Being responsible for ensuring design work is completed against time-scales and budgets for new products, existing products and for customer special requests;
Managing the work loads to ensure an effective responsive department is maintained;
Checking quality of design and information created by the department;
Maintaining and reviewing drawings and procedures to the company's quality system procedures;
Responsibility for date entry on the ERP system;
Working with customers and internal departments on the development of new products.
Experience of working with CAD systems (SolidWorks knowledge);
Knowledge gained working in a sheet metal environment;
Experience of leading a design team;
History of working in New Product Development;
Fluent in English;
Computer literate – MS office, ERP systems;
Mechanical/Electrical engineering qualification.
