Job Role: The external logistic technician guarantees the distribution of the finished products to the external customers. He will be the contact with the customers. He will have to plan stock level in close teamwork with production teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
Logistic activity :
- Collect the customer needs, participate to the production strategy with the internal logistic people and send the components order to the customers
- Schedule and prepare the finished product delivery in term of quantity, administrative paper, customs, shipment documents, ….
- Manage the finished product buffer stock in accordance with the production strategy and with the customer needs.
- Participate to the warehouse organization to optimise the layout and assure the FIFO.
- Performs regular analysis regarding forecasts and deliveries for customers;
- Is involved in providing the data for the monthly production contracts;
- Highlights the issues in order to be solved in shortest time;
- Assures daily follow-up for key indicators;
- Manages the logistics flow for each customers in terms of no. of deliveries, transport plan, schedules and optimizes the time between production and shipments;
- Manages all the people in charge of the relations with the customers.
Continuous improvement :
- He emits suggestions, takes part in working groups in order to improve the standards, the tools, the methods used and the warehouse organization.
Management and communication :
- The external logistic technician is daily in relation with the internal services (internal production planning) to know the needs for IRO and to inform them about the delivery problems.
- Manage the warehouse teamwork and participate to the warehouse layout optimization.
- Assure the training of the newcomers
Experience:
- At least 3 to 5 years in logistic function or an equivalent experience in automotive industry, mass production or logistic sector.
- Experience of FIFO and logistic tools
- Technician
- Knowledge in stock management, supply chain, transport management (knowledge of Romanian customs is a +).
Personal skills:
- Punctuality, rigorous, honest, conscientious, well organized, reactive, self-sufficiency, teamwork, stress resistant.
- Capacity of listening and communication with the customer
- English necessary (French could be +)
- Good human relations
- Structured with a sense for figures
