- contribute to the EBITDA / cash flow objectives through effective negotiation of requirements by aggregation of demand and supplier consolidation
- analyze data to develop the appropriate negotiating strategy that will maximize the savings opportunities.
- serve in a consulting role for the development of strategies and plans for supplier consolidation with Supply Chain Management and functional, local goals and objectives.
- through cross-functional involvement, manage the process for selecting the preferred suppliers on a group level
- drive the development and utilization of the supplier consolidation in defined categories and re-negotiation processes to realize maximum savings on group level
- minimum 5 years commercial experience in Purchasing plus experience in Engineering/ R&D/ Manufacturing, preferably in mechanical engineering companies
- knowledge of plant operations and an ability to read technical specifications and drawings
- familiarity with contracts and their legal ramifications is beneficial
- familiarity with annual reports and financial analysis is beneficial
- fluent in English
- planning, decision making, strategy oriented, strong negotiating skills
- computer skills (Excel & PowerPoint a must)
