- To assist the Quantity Surveyor in respect of a section of one or more projects.
- To assist the Quantity Surveyor in ensuring protection of the Company’s financial and contractual interests from the conception of a project through to final completion in line with commercial policy and defined procedures.
- To help the Quantity Surveyor in achieving a product which will surpass the Client’s expectations, but will minimise the risk to the Company and will maximise the profit making opportunities.
-T o promote and enhance the Company’s reputation in the marketplace at all times, particularly in respect of liaison with third parties. -Principal Job Responsibilities:
• To assist the Quantity Surveyor in co-ordinating and supporting any Trainee Quantity Surveyors involved in the project(s).
• To assist the Quantity Surveyor in ensuring that all financial reporting, control measures and surveying duties throughout the life of all projects are carried out in accordance with the Company’s procedures and good industry practice, and within timescales dictated by the project and the Construction Manager.
• To assist the Quantity Surveyor in ensuring that all contractual issues throughout the life of a project are developed in line with Company procedures, good contractual practice and are then administered promptly and in a manner which minimises the Company’s contractual risks.
• Assist the Quantity Surveyor in the preparation of Proposals for submission to Clients, encompassing the Company’s current pricing, risk analysis and presentation principles.
• Ensure that all duties are carried out in accordance with the Company’s Quality Management System.
•Assist the Quantity Surveyor in ensuring compliance with all of the agreed Client’s requirements in respect of financial reporting and advice for all projects undertaken in the relevant sector of the Company’s business.
•Assist with any financial or quality audits carried out.
•To assist the Quantity Surveyor in the training and general development of all Trainee Quantity Surveyors involved in the project(s).
•To undertake all additional tasks requested by the Quantity Surveyor.
Qualifications and Experiences: (E = Essential; D = Desirable)
-Be in the process of achieving a recognised Commercial or Quantity Surveying degree, or an entry level qualification to this, such as an HNC (E)
-Experience of Quantity Surveying in respect of Mechanical and Electrical or Telecommunications installations (D)
-At least three years experience in a construction related industry (E)
