PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Our client, one of the largest manufacturers of Healthcare Industry hardware and software in the world, is currently involved in a project to develop new versions of their Healthcare Information System.
It is an intelligent and intuitive information solution that synchronizes workflow across the enterprise. It coordinates disjointed processes and provides comprehensive access to information - bringing all pieces of healthcare organizations together. Our client is currently involved in multiple projects to improve functionality and bolster the marketplace reputation of this application that is their flagship product. The client is located in the suburbs of Philadelphia.
Our aim is to build a 4 member support team, doing support and development . The four people will support two products, OMS and HSF.
DAY TO DAY RESPONSABILITIES:
The Software Engineer will work as part of an agile team of developers to develop and insure support for software components of an enterprise-scale hospital information system. The individual must be a team-player and willing to function as a support person and developer, as required on a daily basis to meet the goals of the team. All team members are expected to participate in pair programming - which means they will be paired up with other team members, working together to solve single tasks at a single computer. (See extreme programming). Team members sit side-by-side at a common conference room table while doing this work. There is no space for personal items. Interacting with colleagues is in an open, transparent, cooperative environment. Daily stand-up meetings to explain progress, issues, needs. At the end of each four-week sprint, presentations are made to stakeholders and planning sessions are conducted for next sprint.

Required technical skills:
- OOP
- MS SQL server administration (basic level), TSQL (medium-advanced level)
- XML, Threading, debugging, Sockets, MFC

- ASP pages, IIS, ISAPI extensions
