RESPONSABILITATI

- Utilizing a broad and diversified knowledge base in engineering principles and practices within his/her discipline to perform basic, class and detail design activities;
- Taking the lead in performing all engineering calculations, designs layout and drafting operations within his/her assigned project activities;
- Providing the technical expertise, skill and insight within his/her discipline to provide guidance, resolving project technical issues and responding to client/class technical queries;
- Providing the technical expertise on the use and operation of all engineering design and drafting software, both on assigned contracts and on departmental maters for his/her assigned area;
- Performing the assigned activities within the allocated budget and schedule;
- Providing technical leadership and training of junior engineers (including providing all required training documentation);
- Evaluation of new technology and advancements within the department’s engineering discipline for application to current and future projects with the objective of achieving cost, schedule and quality advantages for the Company;
- Perform for hull new & modified basic design and detail design drawings, material take-offs, weight calculations and center of gravity estimations;
- Perform Tribon 3D models for hull discipline;
- Perform scantling calculation for steel and FEM calculation.


CERINTE

Qualification Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Engineering – in Shipbuilding or Mechanical Technology and/or Welding Technology (or equivalent of a Bachelors Degree);
- Extensive experience with demonstrated expertise and skill in ship/marine design;
- Fully conversant with AutoCAD, TRIBON (Curved and Planar Modeling, Assembly, Nesting, Drafting and Structures), Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, MARS, NAUTICUS and POSEIDON;
- Very good command of English (spoken and written).
