This position is a key position within the division Media & Entertainment and reporting to the Project Manager EMEA. The Structural Engineer is responsible for the definition and evaluation of the structural part related to the installation of a LED video display for architectural, sports and/or digital signage applications. Definition starts during pre-sales where a concept has to be defined and advice has to be given. The moment a project is awarded, the engineer will work together with a project manager and will take the lead in defining, calculating, drawing the structural part. This includes the full management of the structural integration, including proposal review, project planning, site surveys, coordination of structural implementation, interaction with architects and other structural engineers.
Responsibilites :
-Definition, drawing and calculation of (steel)structures
-Subcontractors tender proposals, evaluation and selection
-Site survey and advice
-Follow up installation structural part
-Guarantee high level quality integration
-Evaluate common install practices, describe and adjust
-Work directly with project managers, architects, structural engineers
• Higher degree in Mechanical or structural engineering or equivalent experience
• 1-3 years experience in definition, drawing and calculating (steel)structures
• Very good knowledge of Autocad, experience in Pro-engineer, Solid Works
• Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office)
• Good communication skills in English
