Being a service provider of multiple framework contracts for the European Commission and many other EU institutions and organizations, European Dynamics undertakes a continuous international recruitment campaign in order to successfully deliver its projects.
Consequently, a vacancy exists for an Analyst to be based at the European Commission’s premises in Brussels.
Your key responsibilities:
• Understanding of the business model and gathering of the business need and the requirements;
• Development of document-management packages and their integration into web oriented
application, whose one version is implemented in ColdFusion, the other one in Java;
• Analysis of the functional and non-functional requirements and their detailed specification;
• Definition, design and implementation of a technical solution supporting the requirements in
close collaboration with analyst programmers;
• Follow-up of the development;
• Participation in test plans;
• Reporting to the project manager on the progress made.
• University or technical degree with five years experience in IT;
• Knowledge of a development cycle methodology (preferred RUP methodology);
• Knowledge of Semantic Web, OO analysis, UML and use cases;
• Knowledge of XML, XML Schema, XML Spy;
• Knowledge of Oracle 9i, Oracle 10g, Oracle XMLDB, TOAD, PL/SQL, Oracle Text, Verity K2;
• Knowledge of ColdFusion MX 6.1, ColdFusion 7.0, Perl, JEE;
• Knowledge of XSLT 1.0, XSLT 2.0, Web services, RSS;
• Ability to communicate in English and/or in French.
