Entry level position responsible for performing and directing metallurgical activities, applying knowledge of metallurgical engineering and related technologies: provide technical leadership and assistance to all production departments, including experimentation and analysis of data, review plans for new products and implement manufacturing practices for new materials to fulfill product cost and performance standards.
Education: B.S./M.S. in Technical field is necessary, Metallurgy or Material Science and Engineering preferred.
Experience: 3 or more years experience in extrusion and heat treating of aluminum alloys preferred, recent graduates are acceptable with demonstrated abilities in leadership and project management. Strong candidates will have aluminum alloys and/or extrusion experience.
Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels of the organization. Must be able to resolve conflict with internal or external sources always in the utmost professional manner. Candidates must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
Mathematical skills: Commensurate with an engineering degree. Experience in process modeling is a plus.
Computes skills: Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, Power Point, Access). HTML and Visual Basic is a plus.
Reasoning skills: Must possess excellent reasoning skills to solve technical and personnel problems.
