Our client is a multinational company from Brasov in the business of manufacturing electronics and providing services to original equipment manufacturers of telecommunication equipment, computers and related products for business enterprises, industrial control equipment, testing and instrumentation products and medical devices.
A. Responsibilities
Identify, improve, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, process capability, product reliability, and product quality. This position is essential to maintaining performance and accuracy in SMT manufacturing production to support the long-term growth of the company.
• Create, validate manufacturing processes, and conduct design of experiments, defect and failure analysis, report preparation, engineering evaluations, statistical analysis and corrective actions supporting process improvement efforts, ensure root cause analysis translates into process improvements when appropriate.
• Lead the development of DFx rules/guidelines, review design documentation, materials and designs for manufacturability, provide feedback to product engineering.
• Streamline manufacturing processes, procedures, work instructions to improve first pass yield, eliminate rework and scrap, standardize and reduce SMT setup and changeover times, reduce waste, monitor SMT process and establish robust, repeatable, and reproducible process parameters and process controls.
• Provide guidance, direction, and coordination to the technical staff thereby contributing to improvement of skill levels, quality standards, process improvements, problem solving abilities, and continued technical development through education to achieve the six-sigma SMT processing level.
Knowledge & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Electronics Engineering
5+ years of process engineering experience in the SMT printed circuit board assembly industry
Solid skills and knowledge of SMT through hole and assembly related processes for electronic board manufacturing
Must have knowledge of IPC-610A standards
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma Methodology
Abilities
Very good knowledge of English
Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills
Strong computer skills, particularly MS Office software required
Problem solving oriented
Good ability to handle pressure
