Job Purpose:
You'll be primarily focus on strategic activities within Procurement. Activities include, but are not limited to, defining and realizing savings, development of commodity strategies, contract negotiations, and program sourcing decisions. Selects qualified suppliers and procures production materials, parts, tooling and related services in accordance with company and corporate policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Procures production materials, parts, tooling and related services in accordance with company and corporate policies and procedures.
• Selects suppliers based on a Commodity Strategy that has been developed by a team led by the Commodity Manager with input from Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Tool Engineering and other disciplines as required.
• Maintains and promotes sound relationships with suppliers and the business community
• Utilizes sound negotiation and value analysis skills to reduce overall costs.
• Maintains accurate and complete records and registers related to purchasing activities.
• Continually keeps abreast of new material and state-of-the-art processing methods and systems associated with parts and processing.
• Continually keeps abreast of regulations, laws and market conditions that might affect pricing and availability of commodities.
• Promotes effective cross-functional supplier assessments in order to prevent inappropriate growth of the supply base.
• Utilizes computer programs and electronic tools to reduce cycle time and increase productivity.
• Works closely with suppliers to insure compliance with packaging and logistics specifications.
• Collect information and maintain list of purchased products per commodity (including basic information like reference, supplier price, volume, etc)
• Low Cost Country suppliers developing
• Develop and maintain product cost structures as the base for the decisions of commodity strategy and sourcing

Job Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree Master of Business Administration or equivalent credentials preferred;
• PC Literate in a Windows environment (Excel on advance level)
• Proficiency in English; German or Italian is a plus
• Work experience: min 2 years of experience in purchasing, contract negotiation, strategic alliance development and competitive cost and price analysis;
• International business experience is a plus;
• Experience leading cost reduction ideas through changes in processes;
• Excellent strategic thinking, financial analysis, project management skills and leadership skills are essential;
