- Developing and maintain a build system/packaging
system for a custom Linux distribution;
- Keep up to date all the open-source software
base that is being used in this distribution (this includes looking for security threats, bugs, updates, patches etc.);
- Writing, updating and mantaining the necessary
technical documentation
- Extensive experience in Linux system administration (package management, task automation, software patching/recompiling);
- Strong Linux operating system knowledge;
- Knowledge of scripting languages (bash/perl/python/sed/awk);
- General programming skills (algorithms, interfaces, designing a system etc.);
- Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, routing, bridging, firewalling, VPN);
- Ability to write technical documentation;
- Experience in working with Source Control Management systems represents a plus;
- Good written and conversational English;
- Diploma from an IT-related faculty (computer science,
telecommunications, etc.) or final year student represents a plus
