Our client is a multinational growing production company located in the western area of the country.
- Direct accurate and timely production of monthly management accounts and cashflow forecasts and of annual audited statutory accounts
- Develop, implement, monitor and revise accounting and financial policies, procedures and systems, including time-recording, to ensure the provision of accurate and timely data, and the imposition of appropriate financial controls
- Work with senior management and the Group Finance to establish, review and monitor business plans in order to track actual business performance against projections, being sensitive to balancing the needs of financial accounting with the needs of projects
- Work with the Managing Director and the Board and contribute to the strategic plan and establish, implement and actively monitor appropriate KPIs
- Work closely with the Group Treasury function to ensure the most effective use of cash.
- Direct and support audit and inspection activities to ensure an appropriate compliance and risk regime exists which actively supports the business
- Establish and enhance relationships with external agencies such as auditors, bankers, insurance brokers and legal advisors
- Provide accurate and timely advice, guidance and financial input into all contractual matters such as sales contracts, licensing arrangements and potential acquisitions
- Lead the provision of financial education within the organisation as appropriate.
- University degree or equivalent, preferably in applied economics or accountancy
- Additional finance and accounting studies and certifications are a strong plus
- Up to date knowledge of Romanian accounting standards and company law
- Solid knowledge and proven experience in working under IFRS
- Sound commercial sector experience in senior finance roles
- Experienced with coordinating a mixed team of professionally qualified and administrative staff
- Experienced with financial controls, product costing and cost analysis within a manufacturing based company
- Knowledge of SAP is a plus
- Fluency in English and Romanian is a must
- Accurate, attentive to details and highly numerate
- Comfortable with working at senior level and Board of Directors level
- Commercially aware and able to utilise financial expertise in order to assist the company in achieving its strategic and business goals
- Highly motivated and self-disciplined, able to manage own time, prioritise requirements and multi-task, with good organising skills
- Team oriented and willing to work collaboratively with peers, able to quickly form strong working relationships
- Proactive and results-oriented
- Orientation to developing and enhancing the financial expertise within the organisation, actively involved in coaching and educating peers in improving their financial skills and expertise.
