DESCRIPTION OF JOB:
- This position require the engineer to prepare front -end and back-end detailed design
- At least 10-15 years experience in a refinery or related environment in praparing PID's and PFD’s, equipment selection and sizing is required
- Design experience with Heat Exchangers, Air Coolers, Pumps, Valves is required.
- Familiarity with API, ASME, and other industry related standards and practices.
- Experience with Fathom, Flarenet, and Process Plant Information (PI) software is desirable, but not required.
- Will be responsible for the development of process flow diagram information, heat and material balances, and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
- Will perform process studies for new equipment, modifications to existing equipment; develop process design information for heat exchangers, vessels, control valves, and piping systems.
- Will perform hydraulic calculations for piping systems using line sizing and/or process simulation software; single and two-phase flows.
- Perform PSV calculations; able to identify and evaluate applicable relief scenarios; size relief valves.
- Perform process design and evaluation of systems/units using Hysys software.
- Evaluate and recommend changes to eliminate bottlenecks and trouble spots.
- Computer literate
QUALIFICATION:
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
COMPUTER SKILLS :
HYSYS, Microsoft Access, Excel
