DESCRIPTION OF JOB:
- The role will be primarily office-based but may, as the project develops, require the ability and willingness to become involved in site installation activities
- Mechanical design/specification for pumps, compressors and other rotating equipment
- Be familiar with the preparation of data sheets and NMR requirements for rotating equipment
- Be able to conduct detailed review of vendor submission for large rotating equipment
QUALIFICATION:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Microsoft Access, Excel
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
5 - 10 Years
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years experience in mechanical/ rotating design for large industrial projects, oil refineries and petrochemical plants and more than 3 years design experience in rotating equipment for oil & gas environment
- Thorough knowledge of ASME, API, ANSI codes and standard is essential. Provide input to piping and equipment layouts. Conduct constructability reviews, prepare scopes of work, requests for quotation, review design documentation submitted by vendors and evaluate vendor quotations
- Prepare deliverables lists and engineering man-hour estimates
- Be familiar with factory test procedures
- Good communication and technical writing skills in English language
- Computer literate
