On behalf of one of our international clients that is involved in the Al Haramain Highspeed Railway Project in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, we are looking to place a Depot & Workshop Manager (m/f).
Your tasks would be as follows:
• Managing site supervision activities and supporting the Depot and Workshop team in cooperation with on-site team, customer and Design Review Team
• Controlling quality and ensuring targets are achieved in accordance with contractual and project requirements, e.g. submission dates
• Leading, assisting or participating in general meetings on-site in Jeddah, internal discussion sessions and telephone conferences, Team Meetings
• Monitoring internal and external interfaces related to Depot and Workshop
• Approving equipment installation procedures and verification of proposed work schedules by suppliers and contractor
• Controlling the contractor’s implementation of Depots and Workshops as per design
• Preparing guidelines, mentoring and training a team of Depot and Workshop Engineers
• Non-Conformance Control – Risk Register Management
• Implementation and ensuring report delivery of review reports in accordance with time schedules
• University degree (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) in Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering with emphasis on mechanical engineering and processing
• Excellent knowledge in railway rolling stock maintenance, methods, workflows and machinery, equipment, international and national standards in general
• At least 12 to 15 years’ experience as railway engineer, minimum 10 years’ experience in Depot & Workshop assignments, ideally working experience in high speed projects
• International work experience
• Ability of working under extreme climate conditions
• Willingness to re-locate to Saudi Arabia for at least two years
• Excellent English skills
