Pozitie RMO
The basic deal in RMO work is that the RMO is on duty 24/7 on the premises of a UK private hospital, or NHS ward cluster, for 1-2 weeks at a time.
Salary £1,860 gross per week in total including holiday pay and end of contract bonus, or £2,310 per week gross at busier sites.
On the lower rate this equals £60K per year, with 18 weeks off duty per year.
The post is not a training post and is not attractive to a doctor who insists on working within a particular speciality.
The work is mostly surgical pre- and post-operative care in general and orthopaedic surgery in hospitals of 30-80 beds, with about 50% occupancy.
No theatre work (cutting) experience is required at all.
