Job: Registered General Nurse/Mental Health Nurse
Hours: 12 hour shifts. Full-time Permanent (37 hours) with option for overtime.
Salary: £12 per hour for experienced Nurses with 12 months experience. £11 per hour for
newly qualified Nurses.
Location: Warrenpoint, County Down. Dublin is 1 hour 20 minutes by car and Belfast is

About the role
Carlingford Lodge is a purpose built care home providing a friendly and supportive environment
for older people requiring general or dementia nursing care. The home is conveniently located
on the Upper Dromore Road and is easily accessible from the A2.
Designed specifically to meet the needs of older people requiring general and dementia nursing
care, Carlingford Lodge provides a modern and supportive environment with 75 single en-suite
bedrooms with shower facilities arranged over two floors.
● Ensure that all the people who use our service have any personal and/or nursing needs
or requirements assessed and met including personal care, participation with activities,
support with daily living tasks
● To actively participate in quality initiatives and to ensure that National Minimum Care
Standards are achieved and maintained
● Full responsibility for the administration, care and custody of medicines in accordance
with the policy or guidelines currently active
● To maintain confidentiality in accordance with the Data Protection Act
● To receive regular supervision for clinical practice (dependant on service type)
● To give regular supervision for clinical practice for support staff (dependant on service
type)
● To participate in and liaise with all parties in matters regarding care plans with
stakeholders and commissioners
● Maintain registration and PREP requirements
● To be responsible for reading, understanding, applying and adhering to Company
policies and procedures, National Guidelines and legislation.
The successful candidate will be required to apply for a disclosure at the enhanced level from
