JOB TITLE: MATERIALS AND LOGISTICS SUPERVISOR
Position No. 2B
REPORTS TO: Direct Line MLN Operations Manager ? Function Reporting to P&M London
JOB SPECIFICS:
? Location: Block 405 MLN Field CPF Warehouse.
? Experience minimum five (5) years.
? Work rotation 28/28 (days).
SPECIFIC TASKS:
? Manage the CPF Warehouse.
? Design the layout of the warehouse such that normal day-to-day warehouse functions are efficient and safe.
? Implement good industry standards and working practices.
? Supervise and train Warehouse Operatives.
? Train Warehouse Operatives to a high degree in the safe handling of Materials with special emphasis given to the handling of Hazardous materials.
? Maintain and operate Company Electronic Inventory System (MP-7i) ensuring data information input is accurate. Overall responsibility for the management and safe keeping of the Inventory held at the CPF Warehouse.
? Issue materials to the CPF Plant.
? Record all material issues and reconcile receipts of materials.
? Supervise the issue and preparation of materials and spares (pick-lists) required for specific ?Work Packs? during routine maintenance periods and or shutdowns.
? Supervise and, where necessary, train warehouse personnel in the safe and correct use of warehouse plant such as forklifts, overhead cranes, etc.
? Produce an in-country ?Vendor Database? specific to the requirements of the items of Major Plant and Equipment used and maintained at the CPF.
? Manage the issue and distribution of materials.
? Issue requisitions as appropriate to Company P&M department.
? Maintain dialogue and continuous liaison with Company?s P&M Group at the Hassi Messaoud Operations Base; coordinate material and equipment movements between the CPF and Hassi Messaoud Warehouse.
? Manage the Material Certification Register; issue Material Data Sheets (Chemicals, hazardous material).
? Maintaining Material and goods with a limited shelf-life to minimise wastage.
? Waste Management liaison with EH&S department on safe handling and disposal of waste material generated at the CPF, i.e. oily rags, scrap and worn out parts.
? Maintain and supervise the overall support requirements of the maintenance CPF staff in the areas of Materials issues and Warehousing.
? Ensure there is no machinery down-time resulting from inadequate running of the Warehouse and its associated functions.
OUTPUTS:
? Compile Inventory Audits each month; Physical Audit at least every three (3) months.
? Issue weekly activity report.
? Issue/develop training schedule for Warehouse Operatives.
? Issue material consumption reports.
? Develop CPF Warehouse Procedures and Systems.
? Become an integral member of the CPF Emergency Response Team.
? Maintain Communication with London P&M as required.
? Supervise the issuing of Material Requisitions to the Hassi Messaoud Procurement centre.
? Maintain good communication and working relationships with all the Algeria MLN P&M divisions including Company?s London Office.
