The Global Service Delivery (GSD) organization is the place where we make things happen for our customers worldwide, with a strong focus on building, operating, managing and transferring top field solutions.
With a team of nearly 600 highly experienced engineers in Timisoara, GSD Romania is one of the 4 Global Delivery Centres of this organization, managing effectively various projects for 7 customers across the world, serving with speed, simplicity, accountability and trust – our core values – their networks and subscribers.
KEY TASKS AND ACTIVITIES
Hardware and software maintenance and operation of IN&VAS telecom equipments:
• IN/SMS/MMS/VMS/SMSC/MMSC/USSD-GW/IVR/WAP-GW and others for various vendors;
• Provide 2nd level of technical support to the company’s customers;
• Resolve the TTs related to the mentioned systems, tickets escalated by the GNOC level1 or Customer Care service;
• Handle alarms, solve incidents and problems;
• Provide on-call duties;
• Perform fulfilment activities, ie. implement the work orders related to Configuration Management;
• Design and develop software scripts (UNIX/LINUX environment) for automatic tasks (customer data analysis, automatic preventive maintenance, etc.);
• Analyse platforms performance and statistics to ensure their continuous availability;
• Look proactively for improvements and work efficiency related to his/her and team duties;
• Participate in and/or lead projects
• Relevant experience in a support environment;
• Analytical mind with good problem solving skills and able to work independently;
• Robust know-how of IN / VAS products and SW platform subsystems for core products like Surepay;
• Good knowledge in UNIX / LINUX & open OS systems;
• Good knowledge on network fault/performance/configuration management tools;
• Robust knowledge of IN protocol layers and all entities that belong to both of them;
• Remote access support experience (eventually on site also);
• Knowledge of mobile signalling protocols (ISUP, MAP, INAP, etc.);
• Experience on signalling tracing tools;
• Good communications and documentation skills;
• Highly customer focused, able to work under high pressure;
• English fluent in spoken and written.
