For our subsidiary in Sibiu/Romania we are seeking for highly motivated talents, eager to work in an international environment. . The successful candidate will have good technical basis, combined with excellent problem solving skills, with a positive and results driven attitude.
Joining our growing software development team, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to develop a range of in-house, award-winning eLearning software as well as to participate in innovative prototype development within international research projects.
As a Java Developer at IMC your tasks and responsibilities will be:
• Perform analysis, design, implementation and testing of the software.
• Working together with colleagues from Sibiu and other locations to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Actively contribute to the implementation and improvement of the development and engineering processes and work methodologies.
Your strengths
Technical:
• Education in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
• 1 - 2 years of hands-on experience in software development (Java or another object oriented programming language).
• Good understanding or experience with databases programming and SQL
• Knowledge or high ability to learn web development technologies (JavaScript, HTML and XML).
• Working experience with any of the following technologies will be a plus: J2EE, ExtJS, AJAX, Oracle or MS-SQL, CSS, UML and Design Patterns.
• Previous experience with source control solutions (Subversion) or bug tracking systems (Bugzilla).
Personal:
• Ability to work well within a team as well as individually.
• Demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm towards working in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline driven environment.
• Proven ability to learn fast software products under development and new programming languages and technologies.
• Analytical and problem solving skills, structured approach to problem solving.
• Fluency in English language (written and spoken) is mandatory, German language knowledge is a plus.
