Administration and operation of our Oracle databases and Oracle Fusion Middleware products;
Extension and optimization of our backup/restore and business continuity scenarios;
Setting up and carrying out of disaster-recovery measures;
Planning and operation of distributed database and Oracle Fusion middleware systems;
Support to application developers dealing with database and application server specific problems and tasks;
Tuning and troubleshooting specific database and application server related problems.
University degree in IT or comparable qualification with professional experience in the abovementioned fields;
Experience in managing, operating and tuning relational databases on UNIX and Windows platforms (preferably Oracle 11g on Oracle Solaris or Linux);
Experiences with Integration platforms, preferably Oracle Fusion Middleware.
Know-how in Java based application server technologies (e.g. Weblogic, Glassfish) and administration of clustered environments is an asset;
Sound knowledge of Scripting languages (Shell, Perl and Python/Jython);
Basic experience of managing UNIX systems (preferably Sun Solaris and Linux);
Experience in the area of SQL Server and MySQL is an asset;
Excellent team and communication skills as well as the ability to work independently;
Willingness to work flexible hours and be on standby;
Fluency in English; German and/or French is an asset.
