Duties and Responsibilities
The main activities during the project execution phase are:
• The field operator is responsible for entire field operations of all equipment in his assigned area.
• Following all safety procedures and policies
• Ensures at all times that safety equipment is worn and all safety rules and regulations are adhered to.
• Confer with technical and supervisory personnel to report or resolve conditions affecting safety or efficiency.
• Reporting to process supervisor and panel board operator
• Providing (obtaining) information and instruction to(from) panel board operators, vendor, or other third Parties, as required by contractor.
• Performing various manual labour duties related to assigned area
• Monitor equipment functioning, observe temperature, level, and flow gauges, and perform regular unit checks to ensure that all equipment is operating as it should.
• Monitor piping status as regards movement.
• Control filed operation of unloading arms, compressors, evaporators, and refrigeration equipment to liquefy, compress, or regasify natural gas.
• Monitoring machine and equipment and troubleshooting problems
• Preparing and starting machines, preparing equipment as required in accordance with authorised procedures.
• Watching field gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine and equipment are working properly.
• Record operating field data, such as process conditions, test results, or instrument readings.
• Shut down equipment during emergency situations, as directed by supervisory personnel.
Skills required
1. Minimum of 7 years' experience LNG operation sector with 5 years working in field.
2. Must have in depth knowledge of LNG Terminal operation
3. Should have a sound working knowledge of basic utilities systems such as Plant/instrument air, fire fighting and flare.
4. Familiarity with regulatory systems, recommended practices, related manuals & procedures.
5. Highly motivated, hardworking, eager type of personality that can operate under stressful conditions and remain in full control
6. Ability to constantly monitor field activities in his assigned area and communications even in the event of an emergency
7. Ability to remain calm and continue to perform during a shut down and to take the necessary steps to secure safety in his assigned area
8. Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
9. Monitor and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems in the field.
10. Using either field control mechanisms, field local panel or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes (not including DCS).
11. The ability to function during long rotating shift schedules.
12. Be fluent in English, both written and spoken.
13. In addition to English knowledge of Polish, both written and spoken shall be considered as preferred added value.
