Description:
The Systems Engineer’s role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support core organizational functions. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software and associated operating systems. The Systems Engineer will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.
Responsibilities:
• Offering 3rd line support - Investigating and fixing problems escalated from 2nd line support
• Debugging and fixing problems with wide-area and local-area business networks
• Analyzing and making changes to infrastructure to improve performance
• Installation and configuration (including travel to other countries)
• Maintaining and improving support information and documentation
Skills:
• Considerably positive, energetic, self‐motivated and self‐manageable
• Exceptional English skills
• Considerable knowledge of Windows 2008/2012 Server environments and networking
• Microsoft Windows server roles (AD, DNS, DHCP, DFS, WDS, WSUS, IIS, etc.);
• Considerable knowledge of Windows Active Directory
• Considerable knowledge of Microsoft SQL 2008/2012
• VMware Vsphere 5/6
• Storage (Fibrechannel SAN and enterprise storage arrays)
