RESPONSABILITATI

We are looking for intelligent people whose current job is fixing complex technical problems with a range of Microsoft-based IT services, within a company where IT is very important to the business. We are looking for people with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role though are willing to make exceptions for exceptionally technical people.

DUTIES / RESPONSABILITIES:
• 2nd line support - Investigating and fixing problems escalated from 1st line support
• Involvement in architecture and project definition
• Installation and configuration (including travel to other countries)
• On-call support
• Attending problem meetings with clients and internal managers
• Capacity management
• Monitoring and performance improvements
• Maintaining and improving support information and documentation
• Training junior technical staff
• Design, install and configure internal and customer facing servers, network devices and firewalls.
• Proactively manage and maintain server, network and firewall systems
• Administer and support core Microsoft, Cisco, Citrix and VMware technologies
• Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans
• Design and implement monitoring, configuration management and reporting functions that will make a hands-off environment
• Define and document best practices and support procedures
• Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation
• Mentor / cross train team members on existing and new technologies
• Carry out special tasks at Management's direction
• Interact with customers and staff at the technical level, as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required skills:
The successful candidate will already be in a role where they locate and then resolve deep technical problems, in as many as possible of the following technologies:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related area) preferred.
• Fluent in English
• Microsoft Certification (MCSE) or equivalent certification in relevant programs desired.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows Server (2003/2008/2012) DFS, DNS, WINS, DHCP
• Microsoft Active Directory
• Microsoft Exchange
• Microsoft SQL Server
• Citrix Presentation Server
• Citrix : Security (NetScaler & DMZ)
• SharePoint
• Backup systems
• Managing server virtualization technologies like VMWare Server/ESX or Microsoft HyperV/Virtual Server
• A solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking
• Group Policy design and configuration
• Microsoft IIS administration and configuration
• SAN Systems
• NAS
• Hardware Architecture
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
• Must be organized and have the ability to manage projects of varying length
• Positive, self-motivated individual who can complete tasks independently
• Must be a team player
• Familiarity with the fundamental principles of ITIL/SLA
• Ability to work any shift - we provide IT support coverage 24/7
