Well established, family owned transport company in Devon, urgently requires 1-2 reliable, hardworking individuals over 25 years of age for the position of Taxi Driver - self employed.
All candidates should hold a clean (no penalties), valid driving B cat. driving licence for at least 5 years.
Experience is not required as training will be provided, a fully maintained vehicle and a phone will be also provided.
The successful applicant(s) must have good English language skills - conversational level, good people skills and be prepared to cover the initial costs of living in the UK until he/she obtains the taxi badge.
The taxi licence takes time to obtain, a DBS (criminal record) needs to be completed, a DSA driving test and a medical also needed.
The average time for an application is approximately 6-7 weeks.
You will need to cover the costs for this period, which are estimated to be around 1500 pounds ( 2000 euros) , including accommodation, food and taxi licence, but once you start working, the earnings will quickly compensate the initial investment. Weekly earnings are estimated to be around 300-400 pounds- net.
This is a full time vacancy and will require you to work shifts (days/evenings and weekends). You will also be responsible for the transportation of children to and from school on regular basis.
Self employed people are responsible for paying their own National Insurance contributions and TAX.
The company will support you in finding accommodation, open a bank account and will guide you through all stages of your training.
