Autoliv Romania was set up in 27 July, 1997, first in Brasov, at the beginning as Seat belts supplier for internal market and later for external market, also.

Beginning with 2005 Autoliv Romania extended its activity having in present together with Seat belts Division, Van Oerle Division which are producing 100 types of webbing for seat belts, all colors and structures;

Engineering Division which has as main purpose the development of optimal safety systems in order to increase traffic safety and Inflators Division which is producing inflators for airbags.

In 2006 we expanded our company creating a development centre in Timisoara, which is a part of Autoliv Electronics Europe, an operational entity of Autoliv Electronics, serving the European market with development and manufacturing of airbags control units and sensors, Telematics and Active Safety products, for automotive.

Starting with 2007 we increased our business in Romania with Textile Division in Lugoj which in this moment has more that 1000 employees.
and from 2008 we started Airbag Module Division and our main customer it is Audi.
