- Assemble and install hardware and configure operating system software plus third-party system tools, database systems, applications and products;
- Perform software upgrades and new software installation;
- Including any necessary patches to operating systems and applications to ensure continuing stable and secure operation.
Knowledge of TCP/IP networking (wiring, IP and networking topology);
- Good working skills with Windows Operating Systems (Windows 2000/XP/Win7 workstations);
- Basic knowledge of Linux or Solaris is a plus;
- Basic knowledge of Windows 2000/2003 servers with Active Directory architecture;
- Hardware and Software installation and maintenance (workstations, software, updates);
- Ability to work by prioritizing multiple tasks, showing initiative in problem solving;
- Able to investigate, respond and resolve support request;
- Good communication skills with the ability to deal with users at all levels in an organization.
