The Role

The financial modeller will support the financial modelling of new business & renewal deals across Europe covering one of our Outsourcing services, which is part of Xerox Services. The role is instrumental in helping senior management decide on the right price to bid that will win the business, but critically, will also support Xerox’s financial targets. The modeller will report into a local financial modeller, as part of the European Modelling group, but will work closely with Sales, Finance, Accounting and Operational staff during the deal development process. The individual may also be involved in group finance planning and analysis and ad-hoc modelling support to various initiatives.

The Desired Person

An ambitious individual who is finance oriented, numerically confident, communicates well and confidently (in English), understands basic financial & accounting concepts, is a self-starter, takes initiative, and is keen to learn and develop in a fast paced multi-national, large Corporate environment.

Overview of the role - Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain robust financial models to support the end to end sales process and internal business case & governance process
- Supporting other financial modellers when appropriate on more complex deals
- Produce internal reports to effectively communicate key financial information to non-financial members of the bid team and senior / executive management
- Provide ad hoc analysis and financial advice to the bid team regarding all aspects of the sales negotiations such as risk, indexation and foreign exchange hedging
- Prepares pricing-related reports and participates in presentations with internal teams, clients, prospects and/or vendors
- Manages heavy workload in a highly competitive and visible area involving confidential information
- Makes recommendations to improve, enhance or streamline the quality of policies, processes, and procedures for gathering data

Role skills - Critical Technical & Behavioural Skills/Qualifications

- Excellent communication skills regarding both financial / non-financial information and both written and spoken
- Comfortable working Microsoft Excel and sometimes complex spreadsheets. Is a natural problem solver
- Good understanding of basic financial concepts: Income Statement (Profit & Loss), Balance Sheet and Cash Flow
- Excellent at time management as will frequently face aggressive and time-sensitive deadlines
- Degree in a math/finance/business and accounting related subject ideally
