A strongly established market leader in packaging and smart retail (IoT), our client is currently looking for a VP Head of Sales for the European market. This is a superb opportunity for a dynamic Sales Manager who believes in building the next generation of IoT, smart retail and smart packaging/printing.



Job Description:

As VP Head of Sales Europe you will build, manage and lead an European sales team. The company works with the world’s largest package/consumer goods and retail companies, advertising/marketing groups and agencies and some of the world’s largest printers and converters. Focus will be on building these direct and channel relationships.

About You:

- You are a talented, intuitive and highly motivated sales professional.
- You have a successful history in sales and managing teams.
- You have experience of hiring, training, guiding, motivating and coaching a sales team.
- You have a consultative sales philosophy balanced with knowledge and drive to close business.
- You are more comfortable going to events, meeting with clients, presenting and talking with people then going to the office. You like to organize and strategize on the fly and you thrive on being the face of the company and representing the product you sell.
- You are proficient at your craft, including making and working a sales plan, prospecting, networking, nurturing, presenting (virtual and in-person), developing, negotiating, closing, servicing and adjusting the sales plan.
- You are passionate about building relationships, your client base, consulting with prospects and demonstrating the right solutions for their needs.
- You are a strong communicator; you realize that communicating with your team and management team is critical to your goals and the success of the overall team.
- You are digitally focused, curious and inquisitive about the ever-changing world of technology, IoT and media. A plus if you know the printing, packaging, retail, advertising and Internet technologies.

Responsibilities:

- Own the entire regional sales business process from prospecting to close.
- Create successful sales strategies for company products and services.
- Demonstrate highly developed organizational, planning and management skills with excellent follow through.
- Advise the team throughout the sales process. The best sales managers don’t simply sit back and offer guidance from afar; they dive in and get their hands dirty on the front line.
- Build and expand business by prospecting via calls, emails and in-person.
- Build pipeline and accurate forecast opportunities.
- Identify business challenges which allow you to qualify opportunities with key decision makers in target companies.
- Secure meetings, prepare and deliver product demonstrations virtually and in-person.
- Build relationships with clients and partners.
- Define and scope client needs in order to recommend appropriate solutions, including proposals and contracts.
- Meet and exceed sales targets defined together with the CRO.
- Travel to client and company meetings throughout region.
- Have high proficiency withcom, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Embody creativity, curiosity, persistence and integrity.
