Wind River, the global leader in Device Software Optimization (DSO), seeks a skilled engineer to handle quality assurance tasks: create English language technical documentation, develop tests and test cases from requirements, code analysis and review, functional and unit testing.
Prior experience in software validation and creating documentation for software is required. The QA engineer will be responsible for working with development engineers and SQA managers.
The QA engineer will also be responsible for updating or contributing to existing tools documentation, and may also be required to collaborate with other engineers to prepare documentation.
It is essential that the engineer be a proactive communicator, capable of working efficiently with engineers in other geographic locations.
This position requires expertise in software development. Familiarity with multi-core development, as well as IDEs and other graphical development tools is strongly preferred.
- 2+ years experience in working with validation tools or related field
- Familiarity with embedded systems/device software development
- Strong knowledge of C/C++
- Strong knowledge in use of Linux environment for validation purposes
- BA/BS degree or higher in computer science or related field
