Under little supervision, provides technical leadership for one or more manufacturing areas. Position may include assignments involving manufacturing locations worldwide.
Works with QA, Materials, and Design Engineering to disposition discrepant parts and assemblies, assign causes, and initiate corrective action. Identify system related causes and initiate action to correct.
Implement LEAN, Six Sigma, 5S and Safety projects within the manufacturing environment.
Makes Rejection Analysis
Makes Loss Analysis
Prepares Line Balancing & Time Study
Makes Production improvements
Compiles process instruction
Makes Development of control systems in order to improve utilization of plant, labor & materials
Development process standards for use in factory control
Development of operational methods
Implements the Kaizen activity - process improvement activity
Prepares feasibility studies
Ensures compliance with the Quality System
Co-ordinates the issue of all process instructions, methods of manufacture, work instructions
Process design
Superior Studies in Technical field (Mechanics, TCM)
Requires a mastery of manufacturing processes in the area of responsibility to include: Mechanical assembly, electronic functionality testing. Welding skills a plus.
• Strong math, computer skills, problem solving and SPC ability also required.
• The Individual must be able to work independently and communicate well verbally.
• English speaking skills required.
