RESPONSABILITATI

The Regional Hospital is one of Denmark's 21 acute hospitals. In the hospital there is a newly constructed emergency ward with 11 beds and an acute ward with 16 beds. This includes hypermodern trauma reception facilities, with the possibility of conventional radiology and trauma CT scan - as well as a level 2 ICU.

This is a hospital with a pioneering spirit and ambition. Among other things, the hospital is front-runner in a national development project and has achieved high international results in the project "Patient Safe Hospital."
The Radiology department
The radiology department is part of the diagnostic clinic, that also consists of Clinical biochemistry section. The imaging sections perform all conventional examinations and work closely together with the University Hospital in the region. The radiology department performs approximately 46.500 examinations/interventions per year.
The staff in the department consists of 6 radiologists, 7 medical secretaries and 2 radiographers/nurses.
The department is constantly evolving and is fully digitalised with Easy-Viz, RIS and PACS. It holds two 128 slices CT scanners, one Phillips and one Siemens and three ultra sound machines.
The department examines both outpatients and inpatients and emergency patients. In addition, the department also has a Siemens Magnetom Avanto 1,5 T MRI scanner for studying inpatients and out patients.
The imaging section plays a central role in cancer investigations and treatment plans and offers support to the acute department in the hospital.
