Cloud Operations Engineer (Copenhagen)

POSITION
Type of contract: Full time Long-termed contract
Working Visa: Required
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support developers in software packaging (usually Debian packages)
Develop and maintain internal software to deliver and update
Manage Changelog system, Jenkins, Debian repositories, proxies, build systems
Configuration management (using puppet and custom scripts)
Resource management (AWS instances, SSL certificates, access management)
Monitoring and on-call duties (using Nagios)
Network setup and management (VPN, EC2)
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE (HARD SKILLS)
Expert: 1-3 years of relevant work experience, including with Linux (Ubuntu) systems requiring use
of languages like Python, and shell script
Advanced: debian packaging tools, building and maintaining an AWS stack (including but not
limited to) Route53/ EC2/ VPC/ S3 and IAM, administering distributed UNIX-style systems in AWS,
Installing/ configuring/ updating, and troubleshooting services like Web Servers (NodeJs/ Nginx),
Proxies (HaProxy), RDBMSs (Postgres, MySQL), and NoSQL DBs (MongoDB, Redis), Message
brokers (RabbitMQ), working with continuous delivery and deployment pipelines, automated build
systems (Jenkins), and automated provisioning system (Puppet), build, test, maintain and tune
systems in high availability clusters, collaborate in a DevOps environment, QA, support and
product owners/managers
PREFERABLE KNOWLEDGE (HARD SKILLS)
Intermediate: Virtualization experience, networking and routing, Javascript, Ruby. monitoring
systems (Nagios)
SOFT SKILLS
Required: Be part of a roster for handling operational incidents after normal work hours, Excellent
problem solving skills with a desire to take on responsibility, Excellent written & verbal
communication skills with ability to communicate technical issues to nontechnical & technical
audiences.
