RESPONSABILITATI

This is a new role and it is a hands-on Group Financial Controller (GFC) role, based in Cluj - Napoca and an important manager in the group's relatively new Shared Services Centre. They will closely manage and lead the SSC accounting team (currently 10 people centrally) alongside the existing SSC Manager, who will continue to manage all non-accounting services. The GFC will own the statutory and monthly financial reporting and all financial controls and processes across the group's locations.
Endava is recognised as an international group delivering growth & profit. Working closely with the CFO, this person will need to be commercially fit; this means that they will need to multi-skill as their team delivers on deadlines whilst they:
• own and develop processes/reporting/controls
• support integration of new business acquisitions
• lead on setting up new international trading locations with external advisors With growth so high on the company's agenda, "reading the monthly business forecasts" so that the SSC team can flex and adapt to change is critical. Monitoring processes and measuring transaction volumes/effort drivers to determine resourcing levels is vital. This will not rule out firstly reviewing current processes & controls to optimise productivity.
The systems used by the group are a mix of in-house bespoke applications and off-the-shelf applications. They perform satisfactorily and the successful applicant will actively participate in the on-going development & improvement of these systems with the internal development teams.
The group is profitable and generating cash across its trading locations. This will require exposure to international treasury management which is linked to profit monitoring and reporting across locations to optimise tax strategy execution with the CFO.
The role will work with the group board and at times directly with the CFO and CEO. This person should have board presentation standard communication skills. This is not limited to fluent English but extends to fluent business English.
This person will lead the SSC accounting team so they deliver accounting services that achieve:
