Role overview

The group is expanding its finance function and would like to add a new role to support the FP&A Team to assist operational analysis, planning and reporting. The position will be based at our Cluj office. The role will involve both supporting the monthly reporting/forecasting cycle as well as project work throughout the financial year.

The FP&A analyst will interact with various stakeholders: from the Shared Service Centre Team based in Romania for a timely month-end close to the operational side of the business (Project/BU Managers/Cost Centre owners) to provide support with analysis and forecasting.

The role will be interesting and varied; the analyst should have basic accounting knowledge as well as strategic analysis skills as he/she will have contact with senior officers from the group’s HQ.

The position will have a special focus on the central BUs of the Group, i.e. the analyst will provide support with Cost Centre reporting and forecasting.

There will be occasional international travel to overseas group locations.

Responsibilities

Monthly
Perform project accounting and forecasting systems reconciliations and data imports
Oversee the integrity of projects metadata (i.e check that project codes are set up correctly to support analysis and reporting)
Prepare Cost Centre reporting and forecasting
Support with vacation and bonus forecasting
CAPEX monitoring against Budget
Other
Responsibility for organizing monthly business unit review meetings with top management
Involvement in Yearly Budgets
Ad hoc analysis and modelling
Relationships

The candidate will work directly with these groups of people and will need to be confident in their understanding of the business and their abilities:

Client Engagement Managers
Shared Services Team in Romania (Finance/HR/Procurement)
Cost Centre owners
Executive directors & Senior Management


CERINTE

Knowledge and Skills
Previous experience (1-2 years) in a similar role: FP&A or Financial/Reporting Analyst
Oracle knowledge (i.e. Smartview, PBCS) for financial analysis/forecasting activities is a plus
Very strong analytical skills, numerical and modelling skills
Excel skills (pivots, look-ups as a minimum)
Clear written and communication skills

Qualifications
Ideally the candidate would be newly or part qualified in CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
