This is the ideal role for a Sustainability Certification Assistant or someone who wishes to be a fully certified Assessor but has not had the opportunity or funds to do so. This leading sustainability consultancy has a solid workload and an ethos of developing their staff, hence the creation of this post.
You will initially be working alongside an experienced Assessor helping them compile the information and reports which are required as part of submission to the certification body. As part of your progression within the company you will be given full training and support to become a fully accredited Assessor in your own right.
Ideally you will have worked within a similar position previously helping colleagues produce reports. You should also have qualifications within the building industry, possibly as an Architect or one of the building engineering disciplines and be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of the sustainability design process.
If applying for this role you will need to demonstrate the following in your CV:
-Either an Architecture or building engineering qualification such as civil, HVAC or electrical engineering
-Knowledge/awareness of sustainability design
-An interest in sustainability and/or learning about building modelling
-Experience in collating, checking and chasing information from clients
-You should be able to identify shortfalls in information.
If you also have ecology knowledge or a background using energy modelling software, this will be a distinct advantage.
