RESPONSABILITATI

PURPOSE: Ensures the mid to long term strategy and vision to develop sustainable future -oriented cost measures and further develops the Supply Chain function in accordance with group strategy and targets. In particular, the role is responsible for: Supply chain excellence programs and initiatives in terms of excellence strategies and methods, identification and realization of Supply Chain - internal synergies and optimization potential; the identification, evaluation and introduction of new Supply Chain methods such as: design to cost (D2C), early design-stage cost-driver checks in close cooperation with the technology function.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manages the Strategy & Engineering team with responsibility for structural setup, design, resource allocation, recruiting and employee development
- Strategy development and implementation
o Identifies and analyses global and local trends in Supply Chain; Creates mid- and long-term visions for the development of the Telekom Romania Supply Chain function;
o Develops, aligns and proposes the Supply Chain strategy to senior management;
o Secures, consolidates and reviews strategy development of the supply chain division and individual departments;
o Defines and implements methods and concepts of strategic Supply Chain;
o Identifies areas that may profit from benchmarking; Carries out benchmarking projects where beneficial;
o Develops, aligns and implements a communication strategy for Supply Chain and support Supply Chain management with implementation of communication measures (intranet etc.);
- Procurement Engineering
o Implements demand cost driver & value analysis incl. tear-downs; supplier cost structure; benchmarking; customer value;
o Implements design to cost (D2C) methods incl. cross-functional set-ups to generate new ideas and share targets; Target costing from market/customer view ; End-to-end perspective to identify cost/value trade-offs;
o Realizes technology cost reduction through Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis and future cost level targeting;
o Enforces technical specifications‘ and processes‘ harmonization both locally and group-wide;
- Excellence (in cooperation with DT and OTE group)
o Defines and develops the excellence level of the Supply Chain function in alignment with functional and corporate strategy;
o Set up, prioritizes and implements a portfolio of excellence projects to continuously improve the excellence level of the Supply Chain function;
o Integrates and aligns vendors and business partners with regards to excellence strategies;
- Change management and communication
o Develop and implement concepts for change management / transformation of the supply chain;
- Sustainability
o Ensures translation of group sustainability concepts into the local supply Strategy;
- Market Intelligence
o Identification and coordination of market survey requirements with internal stakeholders;
o Provision of market intelligence data on demand to reduce supply chain risk;
o Analyses and consolidates data specifically for the purpose of accurate and confident decision-making
o Identifies and aligns market research needs with relevant internal stakeholders; Steer external intelligence partners for specific analysis/ benchmarks;
- Financial analysis and Supply Chain Risk Management
o Develops and defines a risk map for Supply Chain, covering all risks and potential counter measures


CERINTE

Education:
- Technology or science degree ideally complemented by an MBA degree or comparable

Work experience:
The candidate must possess at least:
- Eight years of experience in the area of Supply Chain or Procurement Engineering, of which at least three years in Supply Chain Strategy Development;
- High-level knowledge of procurement engineering;
- Five years of managerial experience in a telecommunications’ environment;

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Good interpersonal skills as the position requires team management as well as intense cooperation with functions both inside and outside Supply Chain;
- Fluency in both written and spoken English;
- Strategic thinking;
- Leadership;
- High-level knowledge of telecommunications’ technology and trends; knowledge of IT systems and trends is a plus;
- Excellent MS Office skills;
