• responsible with validating and sending to the group the scenarios related to the reference markets developed by the management team and identifying any potential risks arising from market conditions impacting the group's business in Romania.
• defines together with the group correspondents risk limits for each type of exposure and, together with the management team, defines the strategy for reducing the group's exposure to market risks.
• performs together with the management team and the marketing & sales team contract risk analysis activities related to purchase / sale of gas, energy and green certificates, recommends risk mitigation instruments and controls the compliance of each transaction in terms of the necessary validations.
• ensures that the transactions recorded by the management team in the local system are in accordance with the approved risk limits and monitors the portfolio’s market position.
• participates in the validation process of new products, new types of transactions developed by the management team in terms of market risk hedging.
• university degree (preferably Economic)
• minimum 1 year experience in a risk control activity (preferably in the finance and banking sector or Energy & Utilities sector) or a minimum of 2 years experience in reporting and risk analysis or financial audit
• fluent in English, French knowledge is an advantage
• very good knowledge of MS Office Suite (advanced level for Excel and Power Point)
• knowledge of the energy market in Romania and the applicable regulatory framework
• strategic thinking / ability to see the big picture
• analytical and synthesis skills
• forecasting and planning skills
