Conceive, review and contribute to technical solutions and architectural decisions and feature specifications, both from a functional and technical standpoint
Analyze functional specifications, create technical specifications and implement web applications
Perform module tests and provide support for integration tests
Maintain documentation of all the realization phases of an application
Provide post-development maintenance for applications: defects and incidents solving
Mentor team members by providing knowledge and expertise
Willing to learn and apply agile development methodologies
SPOC for customer and other inter-dependent departments
Education in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
3+ years working experience in software development (web) with Java technologies (n-tier applications, client/server, distributed applications, web services, REST ws)
Strong knowledge of J2SE and J2EE (Common Packages, Collections, Generics, Threads, Exceptions, XML, XSLT, EJB, JPA, JTA, JAX-WS)
Working experience with Java frameworks/technologies and tools like: Eclipse IDE , Maven, Subversion, Spring, Hibernate , ANT, Log4J, JUnit, AJAX/JSON
Working experience with different RDMS (any of Oracle, MS SQL Server, others), SQL language and Java application servers
Nice to have
Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, Servlet/JSP, CSS; SOAP, JMS, any of Betwixt/JAXB/SAX/DOM, XPath
Knowledge of GWT, GXT, ExtJS
Knowledge of Apache Solr (Lucene project), JBOSS AS
Working experience with UML methodology and modeling tools
Familiar with the standard software design patterns, web application and web services architectures
Knowledge of unit testing, build and deployment processes
Analytical reasoning and problem solving skills
