What will your job be about?
As an IT Subject Matter Expert you will manage and carry out IT implementations and projects for Operations in transitions for the IT business of Genpact as well as IT Implementations for short/medium term assignments at customer locations. You will participate actively in implementing, deploying and updating of infrastructure and applications (together with the dedicated team) as for the functional specifications based on the business requirements. You will also suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
Other responsibilities may include:
Drive productivity by IT Tools implementation
Develop and deliver best practice based IT (Service) Management consulting and training services
Perform gap analysis and process assessments, Process design for client organizations
Propose new tools, regularly assess competitiveness of our complete stack
Participate in planning IT projects/ strategies together with the Global team
Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope
Understand the business processes of Operations Team and translate the requirements into technical solutions
Manage day-to-day client interaction
Manage project budget
Hold regular status meetings with project team
Other activities as required by the IT Services Practice Lead
Experience in supporting ERP applications and /or IT Infrastructure elements
Strong knowledge of IT systems, IT infrastructure and IT applications architectures
Good understanding of 3-tier architectures
Good communications skills – for both with Genpact / Client IT and business teams
Business view besides core IT skills – to see the bigger picture besides the core IT processes
Strong project management skills
ITIL Foundations certified
ITIL Intermediate certification in Service Design and Service Transition processes is a plus
Ability to work independently, yet seamlessly integrate activities with other teams when needed
Travel availability - 50% of time
Educational background:
Technical University or University of Economics/Business with IT minor and certifications
Language Skills:
Good command of English
