- Prepare, plan, design, implement, operate and optimize transmission network and services (fiber optic network and DWDM network);
- Develop solutions for transport services according to clients requirements;
- Collaborate with vendors and third parties;
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and identify network / applications issues;
- Ensure that the network infrastructure is fully documented;
- Prepare management reports (availability of services, incidents, KPIs, SLAs);
- Select appropriate transmission equipment for new sites and expansion of transport network;
- Perform analysis, evaluations and recommendations related to new equipment and services;
- Provide technical support to sales, project managers and customers, including pre-sales activities;
- Activation / deactivation of system functionalities, end-to-end testing, hardware and software upgrade;
- Keeping the network management systems (NMS) in parameters, perform backup and restore activities;
- Interface with telecom equipment vendors
- Test and accept new network elements and services;
- Implement and activate new network infrastructure with a minimum disruption of existing services;
- Prepare and update documentation according to specific requirements (RFIs, RFQs, internal presentations, operational procedures);
- Perform evaluation and risk analysis in detail for all of the actions regarding planned works carried out for preventive or corrective maintenance of the network;
- Train new NOC & Transmission employees when necessary;
Bachelor’s degree in IT/Telecommunications/Electronics
Team working oriented;
Knowledge and experience in telecommunication services and technologies;
Good knowledge of transmission technologies, especially Dark Fiber and CWDM / DWDM / SDH
Knowledge of OSI layer 2, IP & MPLS protocols, IP routers, Lan Switches;
Knowledge of certain Transmission & Transport architectures and protocols;
Good understanding of design, development, testing, implementation, performance optimization and troubleshooting;
