RESPONSABILITATI

Key Responsibilities
1. Management of the day to day function of the Operations Department within the School.
2. Manage the maintenance, grounds and housekeeping teams to deliver the maintenance and compliance requirements of the School.
3. Coordinate the logistical requirements for events, functions and School activities.
4. Develop and implement the School’s programmed/preventative maintenance program.
5. Involvement in campus upgrade and capital works projects.
6. Management of the School’s maintenance and building contractors.
7. Management of the Operations Annual Budget, including preparation of the budget submission.
8. Assist with Campus Planning and Asset Management of the School.
9. Manage the physical security of the School.
10. Ensure the compliance of works to standard operating procedures and legislative requirements (such as WH&S, Environmental, building codes and other government and non-government authorities).
11. Management of Operations staff, including personal training and development needs.
12. Management of the College WH&S committee, reporting processes and regulatory requirements.
13. Report to the School Senior Management Committee as required.

1. High standard of presentation and functionality of School buildings, facilities, equipment and grounds.
2. Key stakeholders’ satisfaction with service.
3. Effective and timely delivery of major capital works projects.
4. Efficient and coherent operational management within the approved budget limits.
5. The leadership of high performing staff teams.
6. Workplace Health and Safety compliance.
7. Compliance with Local, State and Local government legislation.
8. Reporting to the Senior Management Committee and relevant sub-committees as required.


CERINTE

Knowledge and Experience
Experience in maintaining buildings and managing all aspects of building projects.
Experience with and/or exposure to software-based maintenance and security systems.
Knowledge of ground and turf management.
Experience in implementation of WH&S programs and reporting requirements.
Excellent budgeting and cost management skills.
Well developed organisational and planning skills.
Highly developed interpersonal and communications skills
A high level of computer literacy.
The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
Experience in employee supervision and management.
Demonstrated initiative, flexibility and enthusiasm.
A trade or engineering qualification would be an advantage.
