For the development team of Metro Point of Sales application within Metro Systems we are looking for a determinate Build Engineer to improve and develop the software build process.
The candidate will be responsible for the development and running of build scripts, installation procedures and systems including troubleshooting and fixing.
The Build Engineer will work closely with development and delivery teams to ensure final versions are released in time and at high standards.
Responsibilities – included, but not limited to:
* Develop and maintain our build automation process
* Optimize automated build systems
Scripting language experience in at least two of the following areas: (N)ANT, Windows Command Prompt, PowerShell, VBScript, JScript
Knowledge of source control applications (at least SVN).
Good experience with managing and troubleshooting Windows-based operating system
Experience working with XML files
Proven work experience doing build automation
Microsoft SQL knowledge is a plus
Microsoft IIS knowledge is a plus
Good written and verbal communication skills, advanced English
Ability to work both individually and collaboratively in a team environment
Good understanding of software development processes
Ability to break down complicated problems into manageable components and work well in time-critical situations
