We are looking for new colleagues with strong software development experience, interested in learning and developing on Big Data technologies and especially Scala language.
• Backend development and improvement of cloud computing applications
• Perform a variety of tasks which will require experience and good judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Ensure the quality of our software components using modern software engineering methods and writing clean, well-engineered code that conforms with accepted standards
• Create and maintain product technical documentation
• Work closely with other team members in an Agile development environment
• Understand the goals and strategy behind each project from conception through completion
• Work efficiently without close supervision
• Communicate effectively with project manager, technical leaders and other internal team members
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and make constructive suggestions for change
• Maintains a direct relationship with the client
• Adapt and solve exciting problems with new technologies
• Keep up-to-date with developing technologies and showcase them in your work

• Extensive experience and excellent knowledge on Java or similar technologies
• Working experience with Hadoop, Map Reducer, Hive, Pig or similar technologies is a strong advantage
• NoSQL database experience
• Knowledge of the following technologies: EC2, Nutch, Ops Works is considered an advantage
• Experience with or willing to learn and work with the following technologies: Scalatra, Squeryl, Kafka, Cassandra, Storm, Open Graph, Quartz, Chef or similar
• Good knowledge of Spring and Hibernate
• Knowledge and experience of software development processes and methodologies
• Very good communication skills
• Experience working directly with the client
• Good command of English language
