Handle Gepact Europe Windows, Vmware, Citrix, Hyper-V based infrastructure;
Survey and report any problems that were brought to his/her attention;
Seeks advice when faced with complex issues/problems;
Advance maintenance of current Windows infrastructure;
Advance maintenance of current virtual infrastructures based on multiple virtualization solutions such as Vmware, Citrix, Hyper-V;
Maintains and ensures execution of BCP plans (Backup strategies, administers and operates Backup systems based on Veritas Backup Exec and Veritas Netbackup, tape rotation, BCP policies);
Proactively maintains security environment, including virus protection, proxy, intrusion detection, patch management on servers, etc.;
Utilizes System Monitoring solutions to ensure proactive prevention against system failures;
Respond in a very proactive manner to any outage assigned to the Network Operating Center;
Cooperates with application owners to ensure continuous and reliable operation of client-server applications;
Cooperates with IT personals inside the global organization and with IT departments of various Customers
Participates in execution of system development projects;
Provides third level support for users by working closely with the Helpdesk team;
Provides IT support for Transition- and Digitization projects;
Help verify and modify all procedures and documentation related to IT processes,
Maintan systems up to date and provide evidences for internal and external audits.
- College/University degree in Information Technology or Computer science;
- Strong and reliable technical knowledge covering the following technologies/products:
HP hardware, Brocade FC switches
LAN / WAN;
MS Windows 2003 or higher Server and Advanced Server, including clustering solutions;
Windows 2003 or higher Active Directory;
Windows based file-, print-, ftp-, etc. services;
Veritas BackupExec and NetBackup;
Virtualization (Hyper-V, VMWare or Citrix)
SAN technologies (EMC, HP, NetApp storage systems , Brocade, Cisco FC switches)
At least 3 years experience in the above technologies;
